Lawrence Tomlinson, 75, intends to retire from the board of Salesforce. Tomlinson served as SVP and treasurer for Hewlett-Packard until 2003. Tomlinson has a broad global financial and administrative background that includes expertise in controllership, tax, treasury, order fulfillment, information technology, distribution, logistics and financial strategic alliances.
Microsoft Appoints its Former President of Office Division as New EVP of Corporate Strategy and Planning
Microsoft named Kurt DelBene, 54, as EVP of Corporate Strategy and Planning reporting to CEO Satya Nadella. DelBene is returning to Microsoft, where he was most recently president of the Microsoft Office Division. After leaving Microsoft in 2013, he then served as senior advisor to the Secretary of Health and Human Services where he was appointed by President Obama to oversee implementation and improvement of Healthcare.gov. He most recently has been a venture partner at Madrona Venture Group, concentrating on investing and advising in early stage, technology-focused startups in the Pacific Northwest.

Qualcomm elected Susan Hockfield, Ph.D., 60, to its Board of Directors. Dr. Hockfield served as President of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) until July 2012, where she also holds a faculty appointment as Professor of Neuroscience. The first woman and the first life scientist to lead MIT, Dr. Hockfield helped the university break new ground across a range of disciplines.
