Salesforce’s Board Member with Financial and Administrative Expertise Intends to Step Down
Lawrence Tomlinson, 75, intends to retire from the board of Salesforce. Tomlinson served as SVP and treasurer for Hewlett-Packard until 2003. Tomlinson has a broad global financial and administrative background that includes expertise in controllership, tax, treasury, order fulfillment, information technology, distribution, logistics and financial strategic alliances.
Salesforce Appoints Former Microsoft Exec as First Chief Equality Officer
Salesforce announced Tony Prophet will join the company as Chief Equality Officer. Prophet will be responsible for leading the company's equality initiatives, focusing on gender, LGBTQ and racial equality. Prophet is a respected leader who has held senior executive roles at Microsoft and HP. He most recently served as Microsoft's Corporate VP of Education Marketing. He currently serves on the Board of Directors of Gannett.
Microsoft Hires Sling Media Founder to Lead Interactive Entertainment Business
Microsoft named entrepreneur Blake Krikorian, 44, as Corporate VP for its Interactive Entertainment Business. He recently quit the board of Amazon.com about a year and a half after joining. Krikorian is the founder of id8 Group Holdings, a technology consulting and incubation firm, where he has served as CEO. He was the co-founder of Sling Media, a digital television technology company that was acquired by EchoStar Holding in 2007, and served as its Chairman and CEO.
