Kleiner Perkins’ Chief Product Officer Resigns from Amazon Board; Appoints Head of Its Seattle Game-Production Studio
William B. Gordon, 66, resigned as a director of Amazon after fourteen years on the board. Gordon stepped down so he could provide consulting services to the company for two years. Gordon is currently the Chief Product Officer at Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers. Bing also leads KPCB’s sFund, the investment initiative to fund and build applications and services that deliver on the promise of the social web.
Yahoo! Names EVP, People and Development
Yahoo! appointed Jacqueline Reses as EVP of people and development, responsible for leading human resources and talent acquisition as well as corporate and business development globally. Reses led the U.S. media group at Apax Partners, where she built a team of investment professionals focused on investing and driving value in media and technology businesses. In addition, Reses worked extensively on Apax's talent initiatives, including recruiting and training. While at Apax Partners, Reses served on the Board or led the investments in Cengage Learning, Intelsat, Nelson Education, Hit Entertainment, and NEP Broadcasting. Reses also served as CEO of iBuilding, a real estate software business that was launched by Tishman Speyer and Benchmark Capital. Previously, she spent seven years at Goldman Sachs, where in addition to working on several keystone corporate transactions, she also supported the firm's mentoring, training and recruiting efforts.
