PNC Financial Services Group Promotes CTO as Chief Security Officer and Chief Information SecurityDeborah Guild

PNC Financial Services Group appointed Deborah Guild as chief security officer and chief information security, leading the initiative. Guild joined PNC in 2013 as CTO. Previously, Guild worked for Bank of America for 21 years, most recently as CTO of enterprise functions and end-user computing. She had also been a senior network engineer at Intel.

Adobe CAO to Retire

Adobe announced that retirement of Richard Rowley as Corporate Controller and Chief Accounting Officer of Adobe following 10 years of service. Rowley currently expects to remain in his role until January 31, 2017. Rowley has been the Chief Accounting Officer, VP and Controller at Adobe since November 2006. Rowley was previously employed as Treasurer, CAO, VP & Controller by Synopsys.

DelBene is returning to Microsoft, where he was most recently president of the Microsoft Office Division. After leaving Microsoft in 2013, he then served as senior advisor to the Secretary of Health and Human Services where he was appointed by President Obama to oversee implementation and improvement of Healthcare.gov. He most recently has been a venture partner at Madrona Venture Group, concentrating on investing and advising in early stage, technology-focused startups in the Pacific Northwest.

Home Depot Names CISO from Time WarnerJamil Farshchi

Home Depot, the do-it-yourself retailer that suffered a massive data breach last year, has hired Jamil Farshchi as its first chief information security officer. Farshchi will manage information security, data protection and vulnerability management. Farshchi most recently was CISO at Time Warner where he created a federated, risk-based security program. Prior to Time Warner, he was VP for global information security at Visa where he was responsible for protecting the company’s consumer payment card transactions, among other duties.

Oracle elected the Honorable Leon Panetta, 76, former U.S. Secretary of Defense and former Director of the Central Intelligence Agency, to the company's Board. Secretary Panetta served in the Obama Administration as U.S. Secretary of Defense from 2011 to 2013 and as Director of the Central Intelligence Agency from 2009 to 2011. Previously, he was White House Chief of Staff and Director of the Office of Management and Budget under President Bill Clinton, and member of the U.S. House of Representatives representing California's 16th district.
